Life is full of surprises.

Audrey (Ovate) and I had launched the Rune Rings as part of her fall 2012 collection and they had gone viral. However, when a certain mysterious order came in from LA late last spring, I had no way of knowing what was really in store for us.

It seemed just like any other order. But when a month later the same customer came back asking for several more sets for the new X-Men movie, my jaw dropped. And that was how I found out that Louise Mingenbach had chosen our Rune Rings for the costume design of one of the characters in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Yet, a big question still remained: who was going to wear the rings? Which actress? Which character? On that, the studio's lips were sealed. All I knew is that I had to rush ship the rings to LA.

There was however one clue: the address contained a code name: "KP". Aha, I thought! What on earth does "KP" stand for? With a little googling it didn't take long to figure out the rings were destined for Ellen Page, or to be precise, her character Kitty Pryde.

Still, based on my (limited) experience of movie making, I didn't really think much about it, because I never actually believed the rings would make the final cut. Well, they did. Very cool!
